More specifically, until recently the clinical embryologist relied on experience and some specialized analysis tools. Thus, he classified the samples of the embryos based on their morphological and kinetic characteristics. From these, one to two were selected at a time for embryo transfer and implantation in the uterus of the mother-to-be. However, embryo transfer and implantation were not based on an objective assessment of fetal viability.<\/p>\n

With the use of artificial intelligence, the process is upgraded. A statistical analysis is performed that investigates the characteristics of the fetus that are “invisible” and exceed the capabilities of the human eye.
