After that, the doctor inserts the speculum in the vagina and the cervix in order to examine them.<br \/>\nHe\/ She observes if there are any lesions, infections, abnormal secretions, anatomical anomalies. If there are abnormal secretions indicating infection, then he\/she recommends to do a vaginal and cervical swab to detect and treat infection.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"nav fusion-mobile-tab-nav\"><ul class=\"nav-tabs\" role=\"tablist\" aria-orientation=\"vertical\"><li  role=\"presentation\"><a class=\"tab-link\" data-toggle=\"tab\" role=\"tab\" aria-controls=\"tab-a6968b281cc8987efcd\" aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"-1\" id=\"mobile-fusion-tab-a6968b281cc8987efcd\" href=\"#tab-a6968b281cc8987efcd\"><h4 class=\"fusion-tab-heading\">3. We measure the volume of the uterus, which varies from woman to woman.
